いよ〳〵つよく疼痛（うづきいたみ）日夜 啼喚（なきさけび）声（こへ）隣家（りんか）を驚（おどろか）し
諸医を招（まねき）て治すれどもさらに効（しるし）なし後は膿爛（うみたゞれ）
腐潰（くさりついゑ）て痛（いたむ）ことなを劇（はげ）し既（すで）に死におよんで子共を
集（あつめ）て堕胎（だたい）の方書をとりよせて我前にて焼捨（やきすて）よ
汝等（なんぢら）かならず此薬を伝ふべからすといふ子共のいはく
此 方（はう）を家業（かげう）として今日まで大勢（おゝぜい）富有（ふゆう）にくら
せる所いかなる子細ぞといへば其母のいはく我 発病（ほつびやう）
の始より日夜 夢中（むちう）に数百（すひやく）の小児（こども）来りて我（わが）頭（づ）
脳（のう）を噬（かむ）こと隙（ひま）なし是に因（よつ）て叫喚（けうくわん）するなり是我
平生（へいぜい）常（つね）に堕胎（だたひ）を家業（かげう）としたる報（むくひ）なりといひ終（おは）
りて死せしとなり孔子（こうし）も俑（よう）を作るものは後（のち）なから
んかとのたまへり古（いに）しへは人死すれば従者（しうじや）を殉（した）がへ
て生（いき）ながら人をうづみしなり後（のち）には藁人形（わらにんぎやう）を作り人
に代（かへ）て埋（うづみ）しとなり藁（わら）人形を俑（よう）といふ是を作りて
売（うる）ものあり此者は後絶（あとたへ）なんと孔子 歎（たん）じたまへり
ましてや陰陽（いんやう）和合（わがう）して命（めい）を天に受（うけ）て人 体（たい）
と成ものを堕殺（ださつ）するはむくふべきこと更（さら）なり此薬
を施（ほどこ）し行（おこな）ふ医者は其むくひ現（げん）に見へずといふとも
現代語訳
ついに痛みが激しくなり、日夜泣き叫ぶ声が隣家を驚かせるほどであった。多くの医者を招いて治療したが、全く効果がなかった。やがて膿んでただれ、腐って潰瘍となり、痛みはなお激しくなった。既に死期が近づいて子供たちを集め、堕胎の処方書を取り寄せて「私の前でこれを焼き捨てよ。お前たちは決してこの薬を人に伝えてはならない」と言った。子供たちが「この処方を家業として今日まで大勢が裕福に暮らしてきたのに、どういうわけですか」と言うと、その母親は言った。「私が発病してから、日夜夢の中で数百の小児がやって来て、私の頭脳を絶え間なく噛むのです。そのために叫び続けるのです。これは私が平生常に堕胎を家業としてきた報いなのです」と言い終わって死んだということである。
孔子も「俑を作る者は後継者がないであろう」とおっしゃった。古代は人が死ぬと従者を殉死させ、生きたまま人を埋めたのである。後には藁人形を作り、人の代わりに埋めたという。藁人形を俑という。これを作って売る者があるが、この者は後継ぎが絶えるであろうと孔子が嘆かれたのである。ましてや陰陽が和合して天から命を受けて人体となったものを堕胎によって殺すのは、報いを受けるべきことは言うまでもない。この薬を施し行う医者は、その報いが現在見えないとしても。

The pain finally became severe, and her cries day and night were so loud they startled the neighboring houses. Many doctors were summoned to treat her, but there was no effect whatsoever. Eventually it became purulent and festered, rotting into ulcers, and the pain became even more intense. As death approached, she gathered her children and had abortion prescriptions brought to her, saying "Burn these in front of me. You must never pass these medicines on to others." When the children said, "We have made this prescription our family business and many people have lived prosperously until today - what is the reason for this?" the mother replied: "Since I fell ill, hundreds of small children come to me in my dreams day and night, constantly gnawing at my brain. That is why I continue to scream. This is the retribution for making abortion my constant occupation throughout my life." Having said this, she died.
Confucius also said, "Those who make burial figurines will have no descendants." In ancient times, when people died, attendants were made to follow them in death, burying people alive. Later, straw dolls were made and buried in place of people. These straw dolls are called "yong." There were those who made and sold these, but Confucius lamented that such people would have their lineages cut off. How much more so when one kills through abortion that which has received life from Heaven through the harmony of yin and yang and formed into a human body - the retribution for this goes without saying. Even if doctors who administer and practice with these medicines do not see their retribution manifestly now...
