本草綱目曰 和名
金瘡小草 じごくのかまのふた
《割書：さらんさう｜》 龍芽菜
此の者地に搨て節々より根を
生す葉に皺文あり大葉龍芽
菜に仮て葉不夫春夏の間に
紫花を發く婆々とめ可愛
又白花の者稀にあり
本草綱目曰
王孫 一種 たちあふひ
えれんさう 白花者
両種共丑暮春十有五日

現代語訳
本草綱目に曰く 和名
金瘡小草 ジゴクノカマノフタ
《割書：サランソウ》 リュウガサイ
これは地面に這って節々から根を
出す 葉にしわ模様がある 大葉リュウガ
サイに似ているが葉は異なる 春夏の間に
紫花を咲かせる ババトメ（地方名） かわいらしい
また白花のものも稀にある
本草綱目に曰く
王孫 一種 タチアオイ
エレンソウ 白花のもの
両種とも丑年晩春4月15日

According to the Bencao Gangmu (Compendium of Materia Medica): Japanese name
Jinchang Xiaocao Jigoku no Kama no Futa
《Marginal note: Saran-so》 Ryuga-sai
This one creeps along the ground and produces roots from
each node. The leaves have wrinkled patterns. It resembles large-leaved Ryuga-
sai but the leaves are different. During spring and summer it
produces purple flowers. Baba-tome (local name) - lovely
Also white-flowered ones are rare
According to the Bencao Gangmu:
Wang Sun one variety Tachi-aoi
Ellen-so white-flowered type
