　　　　　　　救荒云師古カ漢書注云結縷ハ蔓生メ箸地

　　　　　　　箏草ト両童對シ衡（クワヘテ）之ヲ手ニテ鼓（ヒケ）ハ中央ヲ則声如

　　　　　　　『救荒』に云う、師古が『漢書』注に云う、結縷は蔓が生えて地に着く
　　　　　　　所に皆細根を生ずること糸筋の相結ぶが如し、故にこれを名づく。俗に鼓
　　　　　　　箏草と呼ぶ。両童対して衡（くわえて）これを手にて鼓（ひけ）ば中央を則ち声箏
　　　　　　　（こと）の如し。

　　　　　　　The "Kyūkō" states, Shi Gu's annotation to the "Book of Han" says: Knotgrass grows with vines that touch the ground,
　　　　　　　and wherever it touches, fine roots grow like intertwining threads, hence the name. Commonly called kozō grass.
　　　　　　　When two children face each other and hold it in their hands to pluck it, the center produces a sound
　　　　　　　like a koto (Japanese zither).
