【花香実（はなかみ）について】

　　　この者は花の色が艶やかで美しく、
　　　また香りが薫り高く烈しい。また実は
　　　豊後梅をも超えている。ゆえに名として
　　　花香実（はなかみ）と称す。

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　折り枝を乞いて実写

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　from a single pot in my own garden

[On Hanakammi / Fragrant-Fruited Plum]

　　　This variety has lustrous and beautiful flowers,
　　　and its fragrance is also intensely sweet. Furthermore, its fruit
　　　surpasses even the Bungo plum. It is named
　　　Hanakammi (花香実, "flower-fragrance-fruit") for these reasons.
