現代語訳
貞昭様におかれては、平日の御上着物や御召物類、すべてにおいて御質素に御節約をお守りになり、恭定様の御志を継がれて御手元金を御除け置きになり、一方の御救いにもなさりたいとの御存念であったところ、御不幸にして御在世の日が短く、御除金と申すほどの儀にも至らなかったけれども、右の御主意をもって御残し置かれた事であるけれども、聊かでも恭定様の御手元金へ差し加え、地下の産子で養育に行き詰まった者へ年々増加の計らいをもって下し置かれた内から、聊か御取り分けて、御身近の勤めで出精した者へ下し置くとの旨を、御存生の内に仰せ出されたということで、金一両二分を下し置かれた事

Regarding Lord Sadaaki, in his daily upper garments and clothing, he maintained frugality and economy in all things, and continuing Lord Kyōtei's aspirations, he set aside funds from his personal treasury, intending to use them for relief efforts. However, due to his unfortunate early death, his life was short and he was unable to accumulate what could be called reserve funds. Nevertheless, based on his intentions, what little he had left was added to Lord Kyōtei's personal treasury funds, and from the money distributed annually with increasing allocations to commoners' children who had difficulties with child-rearing, a small portion was set aside to be granted to those who served diligently in close attendance. This intention was proclaimed during his lifetime, and accordingly, 1 ryō and 2 bu in gold was granted.
