ゐかひ御まやとねり御うしかひ
なとはたゝ例のことし女使も命婦
蔵人はかきのこしつ斎院おはしま
すおりは禊斎弁一条の大路をわた
り典侍神館にまいりて紫野の
かへりあそひなともありしかは祭の
儀式もはへ〳〵しかりしを元久の
のちはそのあとひさしくたえたり

諸宮のつかひもなきとしにてさひし
きやうなりしかとも大明神の霊威
をあらはしていよ〳〵敬神の心をすゝ
めむかためなり見む人ゆめ〳〵あさ

現代語訳
威儀、御厩舎人、御牛飼い
などはただ例の通りである。女使も命婦
蔵人は書き残した。斎院がおいでになる
折は、禊斎弁が一条大路を渡
り、典侍が神館に参って、紫野の
帰り遊びなどもあったので、祭の
儀式も華々しかったが、元久の
後はその跡が久しく絶えている。

諸宮の使いもない年となって寂し
いようであったけれども、大明神の霊威
を表して、いよいよ敬神の心を勧
めんがためである。見る人は決して軽
んずることがあってはならないのである。
英語訳
The ceremonial guards, imperial stable attendants, and imperial cattle herders
followed the usual customs. Female messengers, court ladies,
and kurōdo (chamberlains) were also recorded. When the Saiin (Imperial Princess serving at Kamo Shrine)
was present, the purification ritual officials crossed Ichijō Avenue,
the court ladies visited the shrine pavilion, and there were
return festivities at Murasaki Plain and other events, so the festival
ceremonies were quite magnificent. However, after the Genkyū era,
these traditions have long been discontinued.

In years when there were no messengers from the various imperial palaces, it seemed
lonely, but this was to manifest the divine power of the Great Bright Deity
and to further encourage the heart of reverence for the gods.
Those who witness this must never treat it with disrespect.
