初江王の弁舌（べんぜつ）に焔王を初として一座大きに
驚（おどろ）き入／詞（ことば）を出す者もなし其時大師／莞爾（くわんじ）と
して曰／鮑魚（はうきよ）の肆（いちぐら）臭（くさ）き事を覚えす蓼（たで）の
虫／葵（あふひ）にうつらず女色に淫（おぼ）るゝ輩（ともがら）は我男
色の貴（たつと）きを知らずそれ男女の交（ましは）りは陰（いん）
陽（やう）自然（しぜん）の道理にして大倫（たいりん）の根元なれば
いきとし生（いけ）る者此道にもるゝことなし然るに
末世に至てはかゝる貴き男女の道を切売
にして遊所と名付人の心を蕩（とろかす）より家を傾（かたむ）

初江王の弁舌によって、焔王をはじめとして座にいる者たちは皆大いに驚き入り、言葉を発する者もいなかった。その時、大師は微笑みながら言った。
「魚屋は魚の臭いを感じないものであり、蓼を食う虫は葵には移らない。女色に溺れる者どもは、我々の男色の尊さを知らないのだ。そもそも男女の交わりは陰陽自然の道理であり、人倫の根本であるから、生きとし生けるものでこの道から外れることはない。しかしながら末世に至っては、このような尊い男女の道を切り売りして遊所と名付け、人の心を惑わせることによって家を傾けさせる」

Due to Hatsueko's eloquent speech, Enno and all others present were greatly astonished and no one could utter a word. At that moment, the master smiled and said:
"A fishmonger does not notice the smell of fish, and insects that eat knotweed do not move to hollyhock. Those who indulge in feminine pleasures do not understand the nobility of our masculine love. The union of men and women is the natural principle of yin and yang, and the foundation of human ethics, so no living being can escape from this way. However, in these degenerate times, people commodify such noble relations between men and women, calling them pleasure quarters, and by corrupting people's hearts, they cause families to fall into ruin."
