現代語訳
【右丁】
犬や鳥のような久方の天を駆ける鳥の類いは雌雄が相交わる心のみがあって、男色を愛し合う道を知らない。これを思えば、今の艶冶な情を捨てて、間違ったこと、正道でない外道だと非難する輩は、人の面はあるが獣の心だと言うならば、どうしようか。どうして人として鳥に劣るべきだろうか。
明和戊子の十二月、足を空にする夜来、春を浜町の宿りで迎えて、大蔵千文が記す。

Dogs and birds and such creatures that race across the eternal heavens have only the hearts for male and female to mate, and do not know the way of loving boys mutually. When I consider this, those who abandon the elegant emotions of today and criticize it as wrong or heretical have human faces but bestial hearts - what can be done about this? How could humans be inferior to birds?
In the twelfth month of Meiwa 5 (1768), on a night when feet reach toward the sky, welcoming spring at lodgings in Hama-chō, Ōkura Senbun records this.
