唱ひ候中頃保科と改候事ハ初
保科太郎正治鎌倉源幕下ニ
被仕鎌倉之治世北条家へ渡候後
保科氏流落し信州藤沢ニ
来り藤沢氏を頼之年月ハこゝの保科
ハ源家之暦々也迚祖父内蔵丞某

改め其子八郎左衛門某《割書：法名葬所不｜詳》

現代語訳
名乗っていたが、中頃に保科と改めた事情は次の通りである。最初、
保科太郎正治が鎌倉源氏の幕下に
仕えていたが、鎌倉の治世が北条家へ移った後、
保科氏は没落し、信州藤沢に
やって来て藤沢氏を頼った。年月については、この保科は
源家の歴々であるとして、祖父内蔵丞某
《法名道雲、墓は信州高遠御堂垣外にある》の時代に至って藤沢を保科と
改め、その子八郎左衛門某《法名・葬所は詳細不明》

一女四男をもうけた。女子は土方又右衛門某
に嫁ぎ、長男源之丞は一生
浪人として過ごし、二男は則ち作左衛門、三男四男は
系譜中に記録する。
初めは武田信玄に仕え、その後
道義様（保科正光）にお仕えし、大坂冬の陣の
際、諏訪松本の境界にある藤沢の知行所に配置されたが、息子は幼年のため、婿の吉
川市之丞が作左衛門の代理として
道義様のお供をして大坂表へ出向き
勤務を務めた。

were called, but around the middle period they changed to Hoshina for the following reasons. Initially,
Hoshina Tarō Masaharu served under
the Kamakura Genji shogunate, but after the Kamakura governance passed to the Hōjō family,
the Hoshina clan fell into decline and came to
Fujisawa in Shinano Province, where they sought the protection of the Fujisawa clan. Regarding the dates, this Hoshina
claimed to be descendants of the distinguished Genji family, and it was during the time of grandfather Kuranonjō
《Buddhist name: Dōun, grave located outside the temple grounds at Takato in Shinano Province》that they changed from Fujisawa back to Hoshina.
His son Hachirōzaemon《Buddhist name and burial place unknown》
【Original note: took as wife the daughter of Sakai Seizaemon】
had one daughter and four sons. The daughter married Hijikata Matauemon,
the eldest son Gennonjō spent his entire life
as a masterless samurai (rōnin), the second son was Sakuzaemon, and the third and fourth sons are
recorded in the genealogy.
Initially he served Takeda Shingen, then later
served Dōgi-sama (Hoshina Masamitsu). During the Winter Siege of Osaka,
he was stationed at his fief in Fujisawa on the border between Suwa and Matsumoto, but since his son was young, his son-in-law Yoshikawa
Ichinonjō served as Sakuzaemon's substitute,
accompanying Dōgi-sama to the Osaka front and
fulfilling his duties there.
