一 同6年未年（1823年）8月、合隊稽古の節に罷り出た事
一 同年10月、当合隊稽古の儀について、卯年以来追鳥狩を相止め置かれ、右の姿にて手軽の操練を仰せ付けられた処、列伍足並び運用の次第とも滞りなく、段々兼ね兼ね心を付けて稽古致し居る儀と思し召しの旨、仲ヶ間一同御称美を成し下された事

One In Bunsei 4, Year of the Snake (1821), 10th month, following his father's draft work, he was awarded a stipend of 2 nin-buchi out of 5 nin-buchi and was summoned to the Shinban-gumi (New Guard Unit).
One In the same 6th year, Year of the Sheep (1823), 8th month, he participated in joint unit training.
One In the same year, 10th month, regarding the current joint unit training, since the Year of the Rabbit, the hunting exercises had been discontinued, and instead light military drills were ordered in that manner. His formation alignment, marching pace, and tactical movements were all performed without delay, and it was recognized that he had been continuously applying himself diligently to training. For this, he and his entire group received words of praise.
