予（よ）此（この）著述（ちよじゆつ）をなすは強（あながち）に名聞（めうもん）を釣（つら）んが為（ため）にあらず熟（つら〳〵）当世（とうせい）の有（あり）さま
を見（み）るに黴毒（ばいどく）を患（うれふ）る者（もの）軽薄（けいはく）堕弱（だじやく）にして真実（しんじつ）病（やまひ）を治（ぢ）するの意（こゝろ）
なきゆへに奸医（かんい）盲医（もうい）のために誑（あざむか）れ遂（つい）に不治（なをらぬ）の症（せう）となりて生涯（しやうがい）
を誤（あやま）る者（もの）勝（あげ）てかぞふべからず此（この）輩（ともがら）の惑（まど）ひを解（と）き旦（かつ）不実（ふじつ）の
医者の奸盲（かんもう）を弁明（べんめい）し病者（びやうじや）をして其（その）毒手（どくしゆ）に陥（おちい）らざらしめんと

述意
私がこの著述をするのは、決して名声を得るためではない。つくづくと当世の有様を見ると、梅毒を患う者は軽薄で意志が弱く、真実に病気を治そうという気持ちがないため、悪徳医師や無知な医師に騙され、ついには治らない症状となって生涯を過ちを犯す者は数え切れないほどである。この人々の迷いを解き、かつ不誠実な医者の悪徳と無知を明らかにし、病者がその毒手に陥らないようにしたいと思って、自分の浅学を顧みず、この草紙を綴って世間に広めるものである。およそ梅毒を患う者は、その身体にもともと邪気に調和しやすい天性の毒がある。故に梅毒のある者と交わる時は、その邪気が天性の毒と調和して身体中に流れ入り、初めは下疳、便毒、淋病などを発症する。この時はただ患っている所だけに毒があるように見えるが、五臓六腑に天性の毒が

Statement of Intent
My purpose in writing this work is certainly not to gain fame or reputation. When I carefully observe the state of the present world, those who suffer from syphilis are frivolous and weak-willed, lacking the true intention to cure their disease. Therefore, they are deceived by quack doctors and ignorant physicians, eventually developing incurable symptoms and ruining their entire lives - such people are countless. Wishing to resolve the delusions of these people and clarify the wickedness and ignorance of dishonest doctors, so that patients will not fall into their poisonous hands, I have compiled this book without regard for my own shallow learning, and spread it throughout society. Generally, those who suffer from syphilis have within their bodies an innate poison that readily harmonizes with evil qi. Therefore, when they consort with those who have syphilis, that evil qi harmonizes with their innate poison and flows into their body. Initially, it manifests as chancre, bubo, gonorrhea, and such.
