軽粉丸（けいふんぐわん）を以（もつ）て八ヶ月の間（あいだ）劇攻（げきこう）せしも誤（あやま）り以上五ヶ年
の中（うち）は无益（むゑき）の苦（くるし）みをなしたり是（これ）を今 治療（ぢりやう）せば先（まづ）はじ
めに緩剤（くわんざい）の山皈来剤（さんきらいざい）を一剤（いちざい）用（もち）ひ若（もし）功（こう）なくば七宝丸（しつぽうぐわん）を

軽粉丸を使って八ヶ月間劇的な攻撃治療をしたのも誤りで、以上五年間は無益の苦しみをしたのである。これを今治療するならば、まず初めに緩和剤の山帰来剤を一処方用い、もし効果がなければ七宝丸を一処方用い、これで口中に腫れや痛みがなければまた量を倍にして用い、口中が腫れ痛むに至って病気が治らなければ、口中が治るのを待って延寿丸を用いる程度ならば、五年の苦しみはなく、ただ四、五ヶ月で全治するであろう。今世の中に私のように治療を誤って数年苦しみ、病気や薬のために財産を失い、あるいは廃人となり、あるいは非業の死を遂げる者の数は、挙げて数えることができないほどである。嘆かわしいことこの上ない。私がこの書を著すのは、専らこれらのことを世に諭し、長く梅毒の害を免れさせようと欲するのみである。そうであるならば

those who worry about this disease should read this book and the appendix "Miscellaneous Talks on Syphilis" many times, thoroughly understand the principles, and then use appropriate medicines according to the condition of their disease. This would be far superior to using medicines from dishonest doctors or doctors with superficial knowledge - they would not waste fruitless months, not spend useless money, the disease poison would be expelled quickly without recurrence, and there would be no re-infection. There is not a single falsehood among the medical techniques recorded in this book.
