必治（ひつぢ）の効（かう）をとるべきのみ未（いまだ）薬将（やくしやう）を用（もち）ひる方法（ほう〴〵）も知（しら）ず真実（しんじつ）病（やまひ）を

勇（ゆう）をそしり国家（こくか）を害（がい）する逆徒（きやくと）と云（い）ふ昔日（そのかみ）日本武（やまとだけ）の尊（みこと）の武（ぶ）
勇（ゆう）日本（にちほん）の病（やまひ）たる熊蘇（くまそ）を殺（ころ）す樊噲（はんくわい）が武勇（ぶゆう）鴻門（こうもん）の会（くはい）にて
漢（かん）の高祖（こうそ）の急病（きうびやう）を救（すく）ふ平（たいら）の貞盛（さだもり）藤原（ふぢはら）の秀郷（ひでさと）の武勇（ぶゆう）を以（もつ）て

薬毒（やくどく）として是（これ）を讒（ざん）し国（くに）を助（たすく）るの良将（りやうしやう）を除（のぞ）かんとするや医門（いもん）の
罪人（ざいにん）国家（こくか）の奸賊（かんぞく）主公（しゆこう）早（はや）く此二人を追放（ついほう）し国（くに）の災（わざは）ひを除（のぞ）き給へ
と詞（ことば）するどに云（い）ひはなつ此二人は人体（にんたい）国主（こくしゆ）にこびへつらひ寵（ちやう）を受（うく）る

者共（ものども）なれば主人公（しゆじんこう）これをとりなし先生（せんせい）の怒（いか）り理（ことは）りと云（い）ひながら
今（いま）黴毒（ばいどく）賊徒（ぞくと）の為（ため）に国家（こくか）をなやまされ是（これ）を破（やぶ）るの評定（ひやうぢやう）の中（なか）
にて御（を）ん方（かた）の内乱（ないらん）あらば不吉（ふきつ）なり軍（いくさ）おさまる迄（まで）両人（りやうにん）の罪（[つ]み）をゆるし
玉（たま）へと云（い）ひければ淳直（じゆんちよく）も怒（いか）りを抑（おさ）へ然（しから）ば軍（いくさ）おさまつて後（のち）必（かならす）二賊（にぞく）
が耳（みゝ）鼻（はな）をきり国境（くにさかへ）より追払（おいはら）ひ病国（びやうこく）をまよはし医道（いどう）にそむく者（もの）

現代語訳
【右丁】
必ず治療の効果を得るべきである。まだ薬将を用いる方法も知らず、真実病気を治すという心がなく、利欲にかかわり、病人の気持ちを推し量って甘い言葉を吐くのは、幇閑医（太鼓持ち医者）でなくて何であろうか。今も我が四天王である延寿丸等の武勇を謗り、国家を害する逆徒という。
昔、日本武尊の武勇が日本の病である熊襲を殺し、樊噲の武勇が鴻門の会にて漢の高祖の急病を救い、平貞盛・藤原秀郷の武勇をもって天下の大病である平将門を滅ぼした。これらの人は悪徒にとっては大毒であり、国君にとっては良薬である。
汝等はなぜ病を治す薬能を薬毒として讒言し、国を助ける良将を除こうとするのか。医門の罪人、国家の奸賊よ、主公よ、早くこの二人を追放し、国の災いを除き給えと、言葉鋭く言い放った。
この二人は人体国主にこび諂い、寵愛を受ける者どもであるから、主人公がこれを取り成し、先生の怒りはもっともだと言いながら、

今、梅毒賊徒のために国家を悩まされ、これを破る評定の中にて御方の内乱があれば不吉である。軍が治まるまで両人の罪を許し給えと言った。すると淳直も怒りを抑え、「それならば軍が治まった後、必ず二賊の耳鼻を切り、国境より追い払い、病国を惑わし医道に背く者の見せしめにしよう」と言い捨てて、再び一座に向かい、
「いかに皆々、口を閉じては是非が分明でない。各々所存を明かし給え」としきりに求められて、列座の中より口利功庵が進み出て、「某に一つの不審がある。およそ軽粉剤・嗅薬・生々乳・そっぴる・どろし・すかるめら剤等の大将を用い、或いは山帰来剤・五宝丹・紫金丹・鶏鹿散・水銀丸等の大将を用い、一旦は梅毒賊徒を攻め破り、国家太平になるといえども、程なくして無名の賊徒が諸...」

One must surely obtain the effects of treatment. Those who do not yet know the methods of using medicinal generals, have no genuine heart to cure diseases, are involved in profit-seeking, and speak sweet words while calculating the patient's feelings—what are they if not sycophantic doctors (flatterer physicians)?
Even now they slander the military prowess of our Four Heavenly Kings like Enjūgan and call them rebels who harm the nation. In ancient times, Prince Yamato Takeru's martial valor killed the Kumaso who were Japan's disease; Fan Kuai's military prowess saved Emperor Gaozu of Han from sudden illness at the Hongmen Banquet; and Taira no Sadamori and Fujiwara no Hidesato used their martial valor to destroy Taira no Masakado, who was the great disease of the realm. These men were great poison to the evil forces, but good medicine for the sovereign.
Why do you slander the medicinal efficacy that cures disease as "drug toxicity" and try to eliminate the good generals who help the nation? You criminals of the medical profession, traitors to the state—my lord, quickly banish these two men and remove the nation's calamity! he spoke with sharp words.
Since these two men are flatterers who curry favor with the sovereign of the human body-nation and receive his favor, the protagonist mediated, saying that while the teacher's anger was justified,

"Now we are troubled by the syphilis bandits threatening the nation, and if there should be internal strife among your faction during our council of war to defeat them, it would be inauspicious. Please forgive both men's crimes until the war is settled."
Then Junchoku also suppressed his anger and said, "Very well, but after the war is settled, I will surely cut off the ears and noses of these two traitors, banish them from the borders, and make an example of those who mislead the diseased nation and oppose medical principles." Saying this, he turned again to the assembly.
"How can this be—if everyone keeps silent, right and wrong cannot be clarified. Please each reveal your thoughts," he earnestly requested. From among the seated assembly, Kuchirikōan stepped forward and said, "I have one doubt. Generally speaking, when using generals like calomel preparations, nasal medicines, quicksilver, saltpeter, jalap, and scammony preparations, or using generals like sarsaparilla preparations, Gohōtan, Shikintan, Keirokusan, mercury pills and the like, though they may temporarily attack and defeat the syphilis bandits and bring peace to the nation, before long nameless bandits appear in various..."
