再び向かい数日戦っても、その症状が変わり功が無いこともある。この時は又しかるべき薬将に替えてよろしい。然るに軽粉や嗅薬などを討手に向かわせ、一旦勝利を得る時は、病賊が全く滅びたと思い、有効の薬将を差し置いて無益の山帰来剤を用いて薬毒を抜くと号し、塩断ちをさせ久服の戦いをなさしめ、国の元気を尽からかすのは間違いであろう。山帰来が薬毒を誅罰する者ならば、これを服して薬毒が尽き、再び国家の乱があるべきではない。何によって後日に至り国中に再乱を引き出すのか。これは薬毒ではなくて梅毒残党の現れるのである。然れば半途にて効果があった薬将を遠ざけ、山帰来を用いて残りもしない薬毒を攻めるのは甚だ無益のことである。後で用いる山帰来剤を先に用いて、もし症に応じ

Setting aside effective medicine generals and using useless sankirai preparations claiming to extract medicine poison, imposing salt abstinence and prolonged medication battles that exhaust the nation's vitality would be mistaken. If sankirai were truly capable of punishing medicine poison, after taking it the medicine poison would be eliminated and there should be no further national turmoil. By what means does later national re-disturbance arise? This is not medicine poison but the appearance of syphilis remnant forces. Therefore, distancing effective medicine generals midway and using sankirai to attack non-existent medicine poison is utterly useless.
