を用（もち）ゆるなり其（その）ゆへは当国（とうごく）已（すで）に衰憊（すいび）【注】してはじめより烈（はげ）しき
合戦（かつせん）はなりがたし十全大補湯（じうぜんたいふとう）は温和（おんくわ）の將（しやう）なれば彼（かれ）を用（もち）ひ

を用いるのである。その理由は、当国はすでに衰弊しており、初めから激しい合戦は困難だからである。十全大補湯は温和な将なので、彼を用いて諸道を安撫させ、気血を循環させ、鋭気を整えて黴賊を防がせる。その間に延寿丸は少しずつ敵を打ち取るが、手痛い戦いはしてはならない。国力が完全に回復した時に、一気に打って出て、決定的な一戦を行うべきである。この次に属国もなお多くあるので、黴効散を用いる時もあるだろう。まずこの度は我が指示に従え」と言えば、黴効散は「はい」として退き、延寿丸は大補湯を伴い陣外に出て用意をなし、総勢五千余騎で黴陣へと向かった。上攻結毒は痔疾痔瘻と謀り、予め合図をなし「薬軍がどちらからでも攻めて来れば、一方より切って出て挟み撃ちにしよう」と構えた。今度薬軍が向かうと聞き、結毒は

Thus Taiho-to, as the vanguard, pushed through the country, drove away the small bandits that threatened the good citizens of qi, blood, and water, plundered treasures, and obstructed traffic. It helped the good citizens, allowed qi, blood, and water to flow freely, supplemented the deficiencies of the five organs and six viscera, deliberately avoided reckless fighting, and waited for the rear guard to arrive. Contrary to the syphilis bandits' expectations, they said "At this rate, our allies will gradually weaken. Quickly rout this formation!" and attacked with reverse charges from above and below.
