鳳翔院様の御前に召し出され、今後は御手元様にお仕えするので、家老たちと相談して御用を達成するようにと直接仰せ付けられた。

鳳翔院様が御逝去され、同七日に三田御屋敷から御発輦されるにつき、御旅行の御供を仕り、同十三日に三の御丸へ御着輦されるにつき、昼夜同所に詰めて、十一月二日の御葬式が済むまで相勤めた。

He was summoned before Lord Hōshōin and directly ordered that henceforth he would serve under His Lordship's direct command (otamoto-sama), and should consult with the senior retainers to accomplish his official duties.

Lord Hōshōin passed away, and on the 7th day the funeral procession departed from the Mita residence. He served as an attendant for the journey, and when the procession arrived at the Third Bailey (San-no-maru) on the 13th day, he remained on duty there day and night until the funeral ceremony was completed on the 2nd day of the 11th month.
