ところが、御下向前に御用で忙しくされていたため、
召し出される格式をもって御用人所で下賜され、
外に定例の拝領物として麻の御上下一具を
下賜された。
一 同年五月 大御目付を仰せ付けられた。
一 同年十二月 御前において御小姓頭並びに
御馬方支配を仰せ付けられた。
一 同五（子）年九月 勤番のため江戸表へ上り、
翌（丑）三月に帰国した。

However, since [the lord] was busy with official duties before his departure to Edo,
[the retainer] was granted [rewards] at the office of the chief retainer with the
protocol of being summoned, and additionally received the regular gift of one set
of hemp formal wear (kamishimo).
- In the fifth month of the same year: Appointed as Senior Inspector (ōmetsuke).
- In the twelfth month of the same year: Appointed as Head of Pages and Supervisor of Horse Affairs in the lord's presence.
- In the ninth month of the fifth year (Year of the Rat): Departed for Edo for guard duty,
returned in the third month of the following year (Year of the Ox).
Note: Received regular gifts of one kosode robe and one set of hemp formal wear.
