主役仰せ付けられ御擬作金四両ニ三人扶持下し

主役を仰せ付けられ、御擬作金四両に三人扶持を下し
置かれ、外に江戸扶持二人分を下し置かれ、家内扶助
不足の米は御意の上、御春屋米の内より
御加扶持を下し置かれました。右の勤め中、江戸御屋敷
内で子供が繁昌している者をお尋ねの節、私は男子
五人が揃っております由を申し上げましたところ
岩彦様、清光院様、鳳翔院様
石彦様がご誕生あそばされた節、初めての御乳母を
妻が差し上げることになり、妻は御年始、五節句、御歳暮
御子様方の御祝儀の毎度に罷り出で
聖光院様の御前へも召し出され、御懇ろの御意
の上、御子様の御召し下げの御上下、御小袖、御帷子
御帯地二筋を下されることが毎度下し置かれ、私は年
来になり御役を勤め難い旨を御訴訟申し上げたところ、願い
の通り御免なし下され、勤中の御勘定に及ばない旨を
仰せ付けられました

He was appointed to the position of head clerk (shunyaku), granted a stipend allowance of 4 ryō in cash plus provisions for three people, and additionally given provisions for two people for his Edo residence. For household assistance, any shortfall in rice was supplemented through additional provisions from the Otsuya rice stores upon approval. During this service at the Edo residence, when inquiries were made about those with many children thriving in the household, he reported that he had five sons.
When Iwahiko-sama, Seikōin-sama, Hōshōin-sama, and Ishihiko-sama were born, his wife served as wet nurse for the first time. For this service, his wife regularly appeared for New Year celebrations, the five seasonal festivals, and year-end observances for the young lords' celebrations. She was also summoned before Seikōin-sama, and through gracious consideration, was regularly granted cast-off clothing from the young lords including formal wear (kamishimo), small-sleeved kimono (kosode), unlined summer kimono (katabira), and two pieces of obi fabric. When he petitioned that due to his advanced age he found it difficult to continue his duties, his request was granted as desired, and he was told that no accounting of his service period was necessary.
