天明七年未年十月、親の願いの通り御番代を仰せ付けられ、武川五十郎組にて御城御番を相勤めた。
同月、親の願いの通り助七と改名したい旨を願い出て許可された。

In the eighth month of Meiwa 2 (1765), he was granted his first formal audience as requested by his parent.
In the tenth month of Tenmei 7 (1787), he was appointed as substitute as requested by his parent, and served castle guard duty in Takegawa Gojūrō's group.
In the same month, his request to change his name to Sukeshichi, as petitioned by his parent, was granted.
