桑は寒中に下肥、その他酒粕、馬踏肥などの類をたくさん畑に入れ、桑の根に掘り入れるべきである。このようにしておけば、春の若葉は柔らかに芽が早く広くなるものである。しかし春夏は必ず肥料をやってはならない。もしまた遅霜が降りた時は、桑葉を水でよく洗い乾かして蚕に与えるべきである。花は必ず悪い。
