無尽意観世音菩薩有如是等大威神力多
所饒益是故衆生常応心念
若有女人設欲求男礼拝供養観世音菩薩
便生福徳智慧之男設欲求女便生端正有
相之女宿植徳本衆人憂【愛ヵ】敬無尽意観世音
菩薩有如是力若有衆生恭敬礼拝観世音
菩薩福不唐捐是故衆生皆応受持観世音

現代語訳
無尽意よ、観世音菩薩にはこのような大いなる威神力があり、多くの利益をもたらすものである。それゆえ衆生は常に心に念じるべきである。
もし女人で男子を求めようと思う者があれば、観世音菩薩を礼拝し供養すれば、すなわち福徳と智慧を備えた男子を生むであろう。もし女子を求めようと思えば、すなわち端正で良い相を持つ女子を生むであろう。昔から徳の本を植えており、多くの人々に愛され敬われる。無尽意よ、観世音菩薩にはこのような力がある。もし衆生で観世音菩薩を恭敬し礼拝する者があれば、その福は無駄になることがない。それゆえ衆生は皆、観世音菩薩の名号を受持すべきである。

英語訳
Inexhaustible Intent, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva possesses such great divine power and brings many benefits. Therefore, all sentient beings should constantly keep this in mind.
If there is a woman who wishes to have a son, by worshipping and making offerings to Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, she will give birth to a son endowed with merit and wisdom. If she wishes to have a daughter, she will give birth to a daughter who is beautiful and possessed of good features. Having planted the roots of virtue in the past, she will be loved and respected by many people. Inexhaustible Intent, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva has such power. If there are sentient beings who respectfully worship Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, their merit will not be in vain. Therefore, all sentient beings should uphold the name of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva.
