真間浦（またの名を入江、浜、井、於須比などという）継橋より上真間に沿って須和田へ打ち回っている所の沼沢、これが古の真間の浦である。この南の方に細流があり、細流よりなお南の汚田も昔は真間の浦の内であったであろう。（注：この辺りの村々もその跡であるという説は間違いであろう。昔の様子は土地を踏んで論ずべきものがある。○太井川の川下に欠真間村がある。この地と因縁があるのだろうか。○この地に溜井があり、行徳領十二ヶ村に分注する。この溜井の東の方を堰向村と称する。元の字は笹塚と言ったそうである。旧千戸の住居があったという）

Mama-ura (also called Irie, Hama, I, or Osuhi): The marshland stretching from Tsuki Bridge along upper Mama and curving around to Suwata - this is the ancient Mama Bay. To the south of this area flows a small stream, and the muddy fields south of this stream were probably also part of ancient Mama Bay. (Note: The theory that the villages in this area are remnants of that time is likely incorrect. The ancient conditions should be discussed by actually walking the land. ○ There is Kakemama village downstream on the Futoi River. Does this place have some connection? ○ There is a reservoir here that distributes water to twelve villages in Gyōtoku territory. The eastern side of this reservoir is called Imukai village. The original character name was apparently Sasazuka. It is said there were once residences of a thousand households.)
