悪い風の吹く時期を計らなかった故と思い、或いは蒙古との陸戦は勝ったけれども船戦に不慣れであった故と言い、或いは日本の国土が海を隔てて攻めにくいことなどのみを思っているのは、実に愚かなことである。《割書：云々》《割書：弘安四年十月二十二日、日蓮が富城入道への返書に「去る後七月の御状の内、去る鎮西には大風が吹いて、浦々島々に破損した船が充満している間《割書：云々》これ》《割書：歳七月に閏を置くことを益々証明すべし。使者四人とするのは撒都魯丁を二人と読み違えたもので、全ては三人である》
