Chiba Stone
This stone is a precious
vessel that has been transmitted
in our family since our ancestor
Yoshifumi. In the spring of Tenbun
Mizunoe-tatsu year, Katsutsune
donated it to this
temple, and since then more than
ten decades have passed.
Now,
Jōjū and the village scholar Washō
consulted together and commissioned
the metalworker Itō Kōshin
to newly create a copper case
and lotus pedestal, placing the stone
within it for
dedication. This is to express
thoughts of remembering
ancestors.
Also, genealogies and
stone certificates are stored
