祭之節先代官中参勤可有之旨也此義序ニ申入候間
別段不申入之趣也

宣下有之尤禁中御寄合後ニ候得共小祭御神事近々ニ付
別段願書被差出宣下也尤先例数多有之事也
今日会所より被相招被申渡ハ未新補人体も無之候間来
正月中御神事闕職之処代官役参勤可有之旨也
泰顕方へ参廿四日并今日等会所より被申達之趣申聞且
小祭より代官役氏神祝闕職参勤之名前弥先日示合
之通所司大夫許へ申達之儀申談処泰顕より可申達之
旨也

万端示し合わせた。その条件は以下の通りである。小祭・粥御料・歩射など三ヶ度の季式には参勤すべきこと、元日・三日の卯杖・七日の白馬など三ヶ度は経千が参勤すべきこと、御棚ならびに御備番などは泰顕が参勤すべきこと、という旨である。また、御棚会について故障（支障）がある両人の件は、近日中に会所まで届け出た上で、前代官中が参勤するよう御達があるべき旨を申し入れておいた。
廿四日（戊午）晴。経千一人が評議所へ参り、会所の歳平まで申し入れたことには、当代官のうち保行・保逞両人が故障（支障）につき、来る正月の御棚会の節に前代官中が参勤するよう御達をいただきたい旨を申し入れた。この折に、歳平より申し聞かされたことには、右の闕職について未だ新補の人物もなく、来る廿九日の小祭の節には先ず代官中が参勤すべき旨とのことである。この義はついでに申し入れたので、別段に申し入れるまでもないとのことであった。
廿七日（辛酉）曇。今日、新宮祝より氏神祢宜に至るまで十職の転補の宣下があった。もっとも、禁中の御寄合の後のことであるが、小祭の御神事が近々であるため、別段に願書を差し出して宣下となったものである。もっとも、先例が数多くある事柄である。今日、会所より招かれて申し渡されたことには、未だ新補の人物もなく、来る正月中の御神事については闕職の処において代官役が参勤すべき旨とのことであった。泰顕方へ参り、廿四日ならびに今日など会所より申し達された趣を申し聞かせ、また、小祭より代官役・氏神祝闕職参勤の名前をいよいよ先日示し合わせの通り、所司大夫の許へ申し達する儀について談じたところ、泰顕より申し達すべき旨とのことであった。
廿九日（癸亥）小雪。八乙女中より胙献料、代官・宇（氏）両人分として、近年の定納は三升六合のところ、当年の旱損につき壱升五合九勺八才、今日、八乙女のうち的顕より到来した。

All matters were agreed upon in consultation. The conditions were as follows: for the three seasonal ceremonies (kisshiki) of the Small Festival (shōsai), the porridge offering (kayu goryō), and the foot archery (hosha), attendance (sankin) should be made; for the three occasions of New Year's Day, the third day's rabbit-staff ceremony (uzutsue), and the seventh day's white horse ceremony (hakuba), Keisen should attend; and for the御棚 (sacred shelf ceremonies) as well as the sacred guard duty (gobiban), Yasuteru should attend. Additionally, regarding the御棚会 (sacred shelf assembly) for which the two individuals have reported obstacles (koshō), it was stated that a notification would be made in the near future to the assembly hall (kaisho), and that an official directive should be issued for the former daikan to attend.
**24th day (Tsuchinoe-Uma), Fine weather.** Keisen alone went to the Council Hall (hyōgisho) and made representations to Toshihira at the assembly hall, stating: since the two among the current daikan—Yasuyuki and Yasumasa—have reported obstacles, a directive should be issued for the former daikan to attend during the upcoming New Year's御棚会 ceremony. On this occasion, Toshihira informed him that since there was as yet no candidate for the newly appointed position regarding the vacancy mentioned, the former daikan should first attend during the Small Festival on the 29th. Since this matter had been raised informally in passing, there was no need to make a separate formal representation.
**27th day (Kanoto-Tori), Cloudy.** Today, an imperial appointment (senka) was issued for transfers across ten positions, from the Shinmiya hafuri down to the ujigami negi. Although this was to have followed the imperial court's assembly (goyoriai) at the imperial palace, since the Small Festival's sacred rites were approaching, a special petition was submitted and the appointment was granted. There are indeed many precedents for such a procedure. Today, I was summoned to the assembly hall and informed that since there was still no newly appointed person, the daikan officials should attend in place of the vacancy during the sacred rites throughout the coming first month (New Year period). I then went to Yasuteru's residence and reported the communications from the assembly hall on the 24th and today. Furthermore, regarding the matter of notifying the sōja dayū (superintendent of shrine affairs) of the names of the daikan officials and those attending in place of the vacancy of the ujigami hafuri, beginning from the Small Festival—as previously agreed—it was settled that Yasuteru would make this notification.
**29th day (Mizunoto-I), Light snow.** From among the eight court ladies (yaotome), the festival meat offering fees (sokonryō) for the two persons of the daikan and the U(ji) [clan representative] arrived today from Tekken among the yaotome: whereas the regular annual payment in recent years had been three shō and six gō, due to this year's drought damage (kandson), the amount was one shō, five gō, nine shaku, and eight sai.
This evening, the Small Festival sacred rites were held; in place of the vacant ujigami hafuri position, the daikan official of Junior Fourth Rank Lower Grade (shōshii ge), Kisshiki—
