五月朔日
一、所司代より差符を受け取り、奈良橋の西辺において並び立って
読み上げる事。近年は倭文・金津へ懇ろに頼んでいる。今年は倭文は誰、
金津は誰、ということで、即ち相勤めてくれる。その節、代官一人は麻の上下にて
御所屋の辺へ出向いて行き、旧差符を受け取って帰る。
一、晩方、五郎太郎へ明三日に装束上げの人夫四人が朝飯後、早々に
参るよう申し渡すべき事。

First Day of the Fifth Month
Item: The assignment tallies (sashifu) are to be received from the Shoshidai (Deputy of the Imperial Deputy), and the parties are to line up and read them aloud at the area west of Narabashi. In recent years, this has been arranged courteously with the mounted attendants of Shitsu and Kanatsu. This year, whoever represents Shitsu and whoever represents Kanatsu will perform the duty accordingly. At that time, one deputy dressed in formal hemp formal wear (asa-kamishimo) proceeds to the area of the Goshonya (御所屋, the official residence building) and collects the old assignment tallies before returning.
Item: In the evening, the instruction is to be conveyed to Gorōtarō that four laborers for the robing/robe-lifting duties (shōzoku-age) on the coming 3rd day are to arrive promptly after the morning meal.
