Once the above procedures were completed, the daikan (deputy) dressed in jōe (white ritual robe) placed the sashifu (assignment tallies) and inkstones that had been brought on a kakuban (square tray) and presented them before the first-ranked norigiri (mounted attendant) of the left group and the second-ranked norigiri of the right group, each receiving their items in turn. (Note: the first-ranked of the right group receives theirs last.) Next, someone from the shoshi-dai (deputy shrine administrator) brought out paper, while the mokudai (deputy administrator) brought out the inkstone; the two appeared together. They inquired of the left group whether there were any discrepancies in the ishiuchi (stone belt arrangement), and similarly inquired of the right group. Upon receiving confirmation that there were no discrepancies, the matter was provisionally noted in writing and they withdrew. Then, two of the daikan dressed in jōe stated to whom the ranō (cord fastenings for armor) and binmizu (hair-dressing water) were to be delivered, and withdrew. Once all of this was concluded, the norigiri-shū (mounted attendants) departed.
Item: To the shrine priests (kannushi), those of the lower hierarchical ranks (kaika), and the Onmyōji (yin-yang diviners), the robes were to be distributed freely at their convenience. The Shōzoku Bugyō (Robing Administrators) and the daikan instructed the laborers to bring out from Takakura to the shrine precincts the following: drums (taiko), gongs (shōko), two drumsticks (buchi), two engi (bench platforms), two tatami mats, and other such items.
Item: Preparation checklist for the kaika (lower-ranked officials). The items of dress (shōzoku) for the kaika are listed as follows:
Kammuri (formal court cap) — one box; ei (cap pendant streamer) — one; hō (formal outer robe) — two garments; omote-bakama (formal trousers) — one garment; aka-ōguchi (red wide-legged trousers) — two garments; sekitai (stone-studded belt) — one; shaku (ceremonial baton) — one; shita-kazuiki (under-robe); and eri (collar). All of the above are to be placed in the box on the right.
Item: Items to be delivered by the Mite Shoseki Bugyō (Three-Section Document Administrators). Up until around Kansei 4 and 5 (1792–1793), those wearing fui (informal hunting robes) and suō (plain garments) accompanied the deliveries; thereafter, this was carried out by the zōshiki (low-ranking servants, two persons) and the hakuchō (white-clad laborers, two persons' worth of items).
