一、当未年（文政六年）に至り旱損（干ばつによる損害）があったため、当未年九月より明年申年八月まで、社中一統、年中倹約すべき旨、去る九月に手触れ（通達）があった事
一、明年正月、籠組の語合（相談役）五人を早々に頼み置くべき事

朔日（干支：丙申） 雨。朝食後、着次上下〔の装束〕にて保行亭（保行の屋敷）へ当代官各々が参集した。前代官の古顕・氏延の両人が、着次上下を着て入来し、装束箱に右（き袍＝黄袍）・掟文・入箱一・鍵箱一等が渡された。その後、前代官は退散した。ただし、例年は箱を渡す際に祝酒があるところ、当年は倹約中のためその儀式はなかった。

Item: Throughout the year, other lodgings (ta-yado), proxy daily visits (nichi-san-dai), proxy ritual transfer attendances (ten-ku-dai), proxy duty holders (shoku-dai), and proxy family retainers (keishi-dai) are strictly prohibited.
Item: Proxy shrine watch duties (sha-tō ban-dai) and proxy prayer services (go-kitō-dai) are permissible.
The above articles shall be strictly observed.
Item: As this current Year of the Ram (Bunsei 6, 1823) has seen damage from drought, a notice (te-bure) was issued in the past ninth month, mandating that all members of the shrine community observe frugality throughout the year, from the ninth month of this Year of the Ram through the eighth month of the coming Year of the Monkey.
Item: In the first month of the coming year, five advisors/coordinators (kago-gumi no katawase) are to be arranged without delay.
Tenth Month — Short month (29 days)
First day (cyclical day: Hinoe-Saru / 丙申) — Rain. After the morning meal, the current daikan (shrine deputies) each assembled at the residence of Yasuyuki, dressed in their chakuji-kamishimo (formal attire). The two former daikan, Furuaki and Ujinaga, arrived dressed likewise in chakuji-kamishimo. The costume box (shōzoku-bako) was handed over, containing the right-side yellow robe (ki-hō), the rules document (okite-bumi), one storage box (iri-bako), and one key box (kagi-bako). Thereafter, the former daikan withdrew. Note that in normal years, celebratory sake is served at the time of the box-handover ceremony; however, as frugality is being observed this year, that ritual was omitted.
