を以右方之馬可替給之旨申入候処只今替 （申）事
迷惑ニ存候間其侭被相勤候様ニ乗尻中江
可然様ニ頼存之由重元返答ニ候事
一同二日初乗季秋方江彼方ゟ被申入候者馬替
可申之儀最前申入候通何とそ其侭可被相
勤候旨重而申来候ニ付夜ニ入重粒聖顕両
使を以又申入候者御返答之旨承候得共大
事之御神事ニ候間何とそ右方之馬一疋
可替給之旨申遣候処重元息女病気危
急ニ而取込候間其侭相勤可被給之旨段々

を以て右方の馬を替え給うべき旨を申し入れたところ、「只今替えることは迷惑に存じ候間、そのまま相勤め候様に乗尻中へ然るべき様に頼み存ずる」由、重元が返答したことです。
一、同二日、初乗季秋方へ彼方より申し入れられた者は「馬替えを申すべき儀は最前申し入れた通り、何とぞそのまま相勤め候べき」旨を重ねて申し来たため、夜に入り重粒・聖顕両使を以てまた申し入れた者は「御返答の旨は承り候得ども、大事の御神事に候間、何とぞ右方の馬一疋を替え給うべき」旨を申し遣わしたところ、「重元の息女の病気が危急にて取り込み候間、そのまま相勤め給うべき」旨、段々と断りがあったため、是非無く先ずその通りにて相勤め申したことです。
一、五日九番の番で左季秋・右兼精が相勤めたところ、何れも御覧の通り悪馬故に季秋が落馬し、これにより指貫が破損いたし、その入直しのため御神事も遅々に及びました。この段、乗尻中迷惑に存じ候間、以後は惣馬所へ無事な馬を出され候様に、一社中において宜しく御沙汰を頼み奉り候。已上

1. On the same 2nd day, when an application was made to Kiaki's side regarding the first ride, they said "Regarding the matter of horse replacement that was requested as mentioned before, please continue to serve as is," and sent this message repeatedly. Therefore, after nightfall, both messengers Shigetsubu and Seiaki were sent again to make the request: "We have received your response, but since this is an important sacred ritual, please by all means replace one horse from the right side." However, they responded that "Shigemoto's daughter is critically ill and he is preoccupied with this matter, so please continue to serve as is," and repeatedly declined. Having no choice, we first proceeded to serve in that manner.
1. On the 5th day in the 9th bout, left side Kiaki and right side Kaneaki served, but as you all witnessed, due to the bad horses, Kiaki fell from his horse. As a result, his sashinuki (court trousers) were damaged, and due to the time needed for changing clothes, the sacred ritual was delayed. The riders are troubled by this matter, so we humbly request that from now on, the shrine community make appropriate arrangements for safe horses to be sent to the general Horse Bureau. The above.
