当年四番乗尻共に落馬し、両人の馬は放れて走り、暫く待ったが、
《左右共に落馬し放れて行方知れず、歩行にて纏頭を了えた事》【朱書】
共に行方が知れない間、歩行にて纏頭を了えた。これは古儀に非ず。かような
《他馬を借りて纏頭すべき旨の事》【朱書】
時は他の馬を借り乗りて纏頭すべきものである。右の放馬は入夜、京寺町より引き帰った。
正徳二年
五月競馬延引
《女院御所崩御につき四月御祭朝儀行粧音楽等御停止の事》【朱書】
当年四月十四日、女院御所《房子内親王》が御疱瘡により崩御された。これにより御奉行惣代として御様子を伺いに参上したところ、御伝奏において仰せ渡されるには、「当社四月二十日の御祭朝儀行粧音楽等を御停止する」旨が仰せ出されたという。社家神前の
儀については例の如く執行される。また競馬の儀について、伝奏坊城大納言俊清卿へ相談し、その始終を左に記す。
口状
一、当社競馬会の儀、公武の御凶事により御停止或いは延引が仰せ出される儀について、社記の分を大概考えたところ、所見が無い。
《私に後で調べると延宝三年閏四月二十六日なり》

On April 14th of this year, the Empress Dowager's palace《Princess Fusako》passed away due to smallpox. Consequently, when the deputy of the magistrate went to inquire about the situation, it was announced through the court liaison that "the morning ceremonies, processions, music, etc. of this shrine's April 20th festival are to be stopped." The shrine family's rituals before the
deity were to be carried out as usual. Regarding the matter of horse racing, consultation was made with Court Liaison Major Counselor Bōjō Toshikiyo, and the details are recorded below.
