両通之御紙面則大納言殿へ披見ニ入候処
被致承知早々入御念候義被存候両様共旧
例之通御勤可有之由御座候是等之趣拙者
ゟ御返答可申入旨被申候処也

度も旧例の通り執行いたしたく存じ奉り候。御窺いをなされ、永くお聞き届けいただけるならば、参上いたしたく存じ奉り候。以上

一、又一通は御祭の事である。これはここに略し、別の日記に見る。
返答
両通の御紙面、則ち大納言殿へ披見に入れ候ところ、承知され、早々にお心にかけてくださる義と存じ候。両様共に旧例の通りお勤めになられるべき由にて候。これ等の趣、拙者より御返答申し入れるべき旨申され候ところである。

右の通り伝奏より仰せ下され候につき、則ちその趣、又二条御奉行所へ相届け留める。《但しこれは口上にて申し入れるところに「その通り書付候へ」とあるにより、惣代がその場で書付を出されたものである》
英語訳
times, we humbly wish to carry out [the ceremonies] according to ancient precedent. If you would make inquiries and give your lasting approval, we would humbly wish to attend. Above stated.

When both documents were presented for the Major Counselor's perusal, he acknowledged them and showed that he would give them prompt consideration. Both matters may be conducted according to ancient precedent. He stated that I should convey this reply regarding these matters.

As the court liaison conveyed the above, this matter was then reported to the Nijō Magistrate's Office for record.《However, this was presented orally, but when told "write it down as stated," the chief representative wrote and submitted it on the spot》
