右指上之後御尋云先達而凶事之節も相勤候
例差上候家康公家光公御馬警固等被出候
哉又延引之例彼是委申上候様ニ被仰渡
一社評云兎角今度ハ延引仕触穢相済候
以後ニ御願可申上与計申上可然ニ一決則其旨

上賀茂競馬神事之儀此節延引仕候御
触穢相済候以後御願可申上候右為御届如此

右之通伝奏へも口上ニ而御届申上ル
廿五日今日御奉行所ゟ依御様惣代両人出頭也
競馬之儀凶事之節延引之例有之哉相勘
可申出候由被仰渡云々且又ケ様之節去ル御祭
之通ニ社家之沙汰計ニ而も競馬勤可申候

右を差し上げた後、御尋ねがあり「先達て凶事の節も執り行った
例を差し上げよ。家康公、家光公の御馬警固等が出された
であろうか。また延引の例など、あれこれ詳しく申し上げるように」と仰せ渡された。
一社で評議して言うには「とにかく今度は延引して、触穢が済んだ
以後に御願いを申し上げるということだけを申し上げるのが然るべきである」と一決し、すぐにその旨を
申し上げた。控え
御届け申し上げ候口状
上賀茂競馬神事の儀、この節延引致し候。
触穢が相済み候以後、御願い申し上げ可く候。右を御届けのため、このように
御座候。以上

右の通り、伝奏へも口上にて御届け申し上げる。
廿五日、今日御奉行所より御用のため惣代両人出頭である。
競馬の儀、凶事の節に延引した例があるかどうか調べて
申し出るようにと仰せ渡された云々。またこのような節は、去る御祭
の通りに社家の沙汰だけででも競馬を勤めるべく申し候。

To the Magistrate's Office
After submitting the above, there was an inquiry: "Submit examples of when [the ritual] was conducted during times of misfortune in the past.
Were imperial horse guards dispatched for Lord Ieyasu and Lord Iemitsu?
Also, [provide] examples of postponements and explain various matters in detail," we were commanded.
The shrine council discussed and said, "In any case, this time we should postpone it, and we should only state that we will submit our request
after the ritual defilement period has ended." This was unanimously decided, and we immediately stated this position.

we should conduct the horse racing even if it is only by the shrine families' decision.
