事ニ候哉此段も可申上候由被仰渡云々因茲
明日寄合有之筈也
廿六日晴朝飯後一社有寄会昨日御奉行所
被仰渡旨及披露競馬延引例二記之旨
追而可戴之奥之伝奏へ出ル書付ノ通也
但二水記云ト書ヲ右ニ水記抄本ト左ニ
書又省略ノ二字無計也清茂ゟ書出ス則
口上書出来御奉行所へ持参留
依御尋口状
一上賀茂競馬神事延引之儀相勘候処
大永六年四月七日後柏原院崩御其節競
馬延引同六月朔日五日執行仕候旨社記ニ

相見候御事
一競馬神事之儀走馬賞翫之事ニ候故見
物之群集市立之者共相集社家之為沙汰
難制候因茲常之神事と相替 御公儀
ゟ警固御役人不被下候而ハ難勤奉存候御事

一従往古此神事及闕怠候儀所見無御座候
間延引共執行仕度奉願候事
右之通ニ御座候故此節延引仕重而
現代語訳
事に候哉。この段も申し上げるべき旨を仰せ渡された云々。よって
明日寄合があるはずである。
廿六日晴れ。朝飯後、一社で寄会があった。昨日御奉行所で
仰せ渡された旨を披露し、競馬延引の例について記録の旨、
追って頂戴すべきである。奥の伝奏へ出す書付の通りである。
ただし「二水記に云う」と書くのを右に、「水記抄本」と左に
書き、また省略の二字は無いだけである。清茂より書き出す。すなわち
口上書が出来上がり、御奉行所へ持参した。控え
御尋ねによる口状
一、上賀茂競馬神事延引の儀を調べましたところ
大永六年四月七日、後柏原院が崩御された。その節に競
馬を延引し、同年六月朔日五日に執行致した旨、社記に
《私が言うには、この例は社家記には六月朔日五日とあるが、二水記には六月十一日十五日である。二水記に従うべきか》
見えております御事
一、競馬神事の儀は走馬賞翫の事に候故、見
物の群集、市立ちの者共が相集まり、社家の沙汰のためには
制しがたく候。よって常の神事と相替わり、御公儀
より警固の御役人を下されなくては勤めがたく存じ奉る御事
《昔より競馬会が怠慢になったことは無いという旨の事》【朱書】
一、昔よりこの神事が怠慢になった儀は所見が御座いません
間、延引とも執行致したく願い奉る事
右の通りに御座候故、この節延引致し重ねて

and omitting only the two characters for "abbreviation." Kiyoshige wrote this out. Thus

Item: Regarding the postponement of the Kamigamo horse racing ritual, upon investigation
On April 7th, Daiei 6 [1526], Emperor Go-Kashiwabara passed away. At that time, the horse
racing was postponed and executed on June 1st and 5th of the same year, as recorded in the shrine records
