現代語訳

権祢宜の馬が変わる。一番右に乗る。十番で二頭の馬が帰って、一時間半ほど延期して見物。正親町院の馬を借りて乗る。色々申し事あり。 十番 左 藤徳大夫兼條《割書:兼賢とあり。当年変わる》    右 治部少輔季貞 《割書:朱書》 一本に云う。兼賢・季貞の馬の相論ありて、二十頭の馬皆帰る。然れども見物衆の馬を借りて相調える也。 同三年 社務松下親久(規也)、所司大夫近江守代兵部少輔、堯平目代伊賀守代備前守。朔日・五日共に 《割書:五日神主方朝飯に所司代堯平袴肩不にて参る事》【朱書】 天気良し。五日に社務朝飯に所司袴肩不にて御相伴。不審如何に候。着座、所司近江守、一番二番別当大夫、三番目代別当大夫一座とあり。不審。 永禄元年《割書:弘治四年二月二十八日改元して永禄元となす》 一乱により御馬十頭余り替わる。当所御馬六頭出る也。但し 《割書:当所百姓馬出さず。社家分より五頭、供借より一頭等出す事》【朱書】 百姓馬出さず。福満大夫馬、右京亮馬、右馬助馬、肥前守馬、勝願院馬、清福大夫馬。

英語訳

The gon-negi's horse was changed. He rode on the right in the first race. In the tenth race, two horses returned, and after a delay of about an hour and a half for viewing, horses were borrowed from Ōgimachi-in and ridden. There were various matters to discuss. Tenth race: Left - Fujitoku-dayū Kanejō《Marginal note: Also written as Kaneken. Changed this year》 Right - Jibu-shōyū Kiesada 《Marginal note: Red ink》 One source says: There was a dispute between Kaneken and Kiesada regarding horses, and all twenty horses were returned. However, horses were borrowed from the spectators to make arrangements. Same 3rd year Shrine administrator Matsushita Chikahisa (Nori-nari), Acting Shoshi-dayū Ōmi-no-kami Hyōbu-shōyū, Takahira's deputy Acting Iga-no-kami Bizen-no-kami. Both the 1st and 5th days 《Marginal note: On the 5th day, Shoshi-dai Takahira attended the morning meal at the head priest's residence wearing hakama without proper shoulder dress》【Red ink】 The weather was good. On the 5th day, at the shrine administrator's morning meal, the shoshi attended wearing hakama without proper shoulder dress as a dining companion. This was questionable. For seating: Shoshi Ōmi-no-kami, first and second Bettō-dayū, third deputy Bettō-dayū were seated together. This was questionable. Eiroku 1st year《Marginal note: On February 28th of Kōji 4th year, the era name was changed to Eiroku 1st》 Due to a rebellion, more than ten imperial horses were replaced. Six imperial horses were provided from this location. However, 《Marginal note: Local peasant horses were not provided. Five horses from shrine family portions, one horse from attendant borrowing, etc. were provided》【Red ink】 Peasant horses were not provided. Fukuman-dayū's horse, Ukyō-no-suke's horse, Uma-no-suke's horse, Hizen-no-kami's horse, Shōgan-in's horse, Seifuku-dayū's horse.
