一 二番の番において左方が先馬、右方が追馬であった。しかし左方の馬のみが馳せ、右方の馬は控え遺したため、勝負の儀について申し分はあったが、冠頭音等が合わず、内で先馬が出た旨により、勝負未決定につき入直とすべき旨を階下より申し通り入直となった。ところが清鶴は勝負の鉾より以前に落馬したため、これにより負けとなった。

One: In the second match, the left side had the first horse and the right side had the pursuing horse. However, only the left side's horse ran while the right side's horse held back, so although there were arguments about the victory, since the cap sounds did not match and the first horse emerged from within, the victory was undecided and it was declared a draw as stated by the lower rank officials. However, Kiyotsuru fell from his horse before the decisive spear moment, resulting in his loss.
