年所代は赤大夫左近将監両人也。 朔日五日両日御成り。中略。臨時の競馬一番あり、負け勝ちなし。 《割書:御袖料の事》【朱書】 この歳より御袖料壱貫五百文相定まる也。備中守(六番右季継)太刀を忘れて厩屋にて佩く也。一番仕取り。 《割書:太刀を忘れて厩屋にて佩くこと》【朱書】 馬上の御馬代わりて役人駆け出し。上馬は一番左治部大輔(知久)乗り、二番に摂津守(能廣)乗り。初乗り相手そのまま撃つなり。勝負吉。    左 摂津守能廣  二番    右 初千々代大夫持久 永禄五年 佐々木四郎殿次郎殿見物也。御酒総中より参る。馬二疋代わる也。一番右左共に乗らず。本使いなり。袖料一貫五百文也。十番共朔日の本使いに乗る。 《割書:九番左兼賢十番の馬を引き乗る事》【朱書】 十番使いに立つ馬を九番に若狭守兼賢引き上げ乗る。右対馬守馬を立つ也。申すことあり。然れども無事也。    左 若狭守兼賢(條也)  九番    右 対馬守季貞負け 永禄六年

The year representatives were both Aka-dayū and Sakon-shōgen. On both the 1st and 5th days, His Lordship visited. Details omitted. There was one special horse race, with no clear winner or loser. 《Marginal note: Regarding sleeve money》【Red ink】 From this year, the sleeve money was fixed at 1 kan 500 mon. Bitchū-no-kami (sixth race right, Suetsugu) forgot his sword and put it on at the stable. First ceremonial race. 《Marginal note: Forgetting the sword and putting it on at the stable》【Red ink】 The mounted horse was changed and officials rode out. For mounting, Jibu-dayū (Tomohisa) rode on the left of the first race, and Settsu-no-kami (Yoshihiro) rode in the second race. The first rider's opponent struck directly.
