《割書：口附之者白丁着用ニ成事｜》【朱書】
披露旨趣者競馬口附之者倭文同前ニ白丁着用之
様ニ被致其替りニ尻総両人向後被相止可然哉与被
存候是等之趣老若中ニハ如何被存候哉与之旨也
評ニ白丁着用之儀も尤之儀ニ被存候乍然尻総
之儀向後被相止儀ハ是迄有来之儀故如何敷
被存候間此義ハ其侭有来通被致度旨一決ニ而
其趣会所へ被申入候事
一廿一日朝飯後惣老若旨趣者此間之趣立会へ及
返答候処尻総永被相止候儀如何敷被存候ハヽ

先暫時一両年之処無用ニ被致度旨也仍一同
承知之旨此席ゟ被得御意者乗尻被召連候素襖
両人之処此儀も先暫時壱人ツヽニ被致度旨相談之

被申入候事
一廿七日申刻計老若参会旨趣者葵使昨夜及
深更上京ニ付今日立会被催次老若也此席廿

一 四月十九日朝食後、評議所において惣老若が参会し、会所の経順が
《割書：口付の者が白丁を着用することになった事》【朱書】
披露した趣旨は、競馬の口付の者が従来通り白丁を着用する
ようにしたい。その代わりに尻総両人を今後やめるのがよいかと思う
がいかがか。これらの件について老若中はどのようにお考えかという旨である。
評議では、白丁着用の件はもっともなことと思われるが、しかし尻総の
件について今後やめるということは、これまで長く続いてきたことなので適切ではない
と思われる。この件についてはそのまま従来通りにしたいという一致した意見で
その旨を会所へ申し入れた。
一 二十一日朝食後、惣老若の趣旨は、この間の件について立会へ
返答したところ、尻総を永久にやめることは適切ではないと思われるならば、

まずしばらく一両年の間だけ使わないようにしたいという旨である。よって一同が
承知した旨である。この席で御意見をいただいたのは、乗尻が連れてくる素襖
両人についても、この件もまずしばらく一人ずつにしたいという相談の
上で、一同がよいということで、その旨を立会で御意見をいただくよう会所へ
申し入れた。
一 二十七日申の刻ごろ、老若が参会した。趣旨は、葵使が昨夜
深夜に及んで上京したため、今日立会を催す次第である。老若よ、この席で二十

1. On April 19th, after breakfast, all senior and junior officials assembled at the council chamber, and Tsuneyori of the meeting place

announced the following proposal: that the attendants at horse racing should wear white court dress
as before. In exchange for this, whether it would be appropriate to discontinue the two tail-groomers henceforth,
and what the senior and junior officials think about these matters.
In the discussion, wearing white court dress was deemed reasonable, however, regarding the tail-groomers,
discontinuing them henceforth was deemed inappropriate
since this has been a long-standing practice. Regarding this matter, it was unanimously decided to continue as before,
and this decision was communicated to the meeting place.
1. On the 21st, after breakfast, the senior and junior officials' position was that regarding the recent matter, when they responded to the standing committee,
if permanently discontinuing the tail-groomers was deemed inappropriate,

they would like to suspend their use temporarily for one or two years. Therefore, everyone
agreed to this. What was decided at this meeting was that regarding the two attendants in plain robes
that the riders bring with them, this matter should also temporarily be reduced to one person each after consultation,
and since everyone agreed this was appropriate, this decision was communicated to the meeting place to be decided by the standing committee.
