一 新宮祢宜の馬、仮名検断に雲雀毛とあった所、毛付の
時に見受けられた所では鹿毛馬であった。よって鹿毛と記され、番等
終了の後、検断を呼び寄せて尋ねられた所、不調法の旨
申し立てたため、なお重ねてこのような相違がないよう心得るべき旨を
申し渡して済んだ。

1 Regarding the Shingū ritualist's horse, while it was recorded as "skylark-colored" in the preliminary inspection,
when observed during the grooming ceremony, it was actually a deer-colored horse. Therefore it was recorded as deer-colored, and
after the races concluded, the inspector was summoned and questioned, whereupon he
admitted his negligence. He was then instructed to ensure that such discrepancies
would not occur again, and the matter was resolved.
