要直御所屋ヘ入来右新宮祢宜ノ乗尻落馬同
様ノ乗形ニ候間入直ニテハ有之間敷哉之旨被
申入依之所司代并後見之輩ヨリ答ニ乗形甚
見苦敷且鞭等も不出候ユヘ下々ノ毛付ニ相定

《割書：乗り形甚だ見苦しく鞭なども出でず、毛付下々の事もっとも、落馬なきゆえ入れ直しに及ばざるなり》【朱書】
一 新宮祢宜乗り手経直、素走の時鞭打ち桜木の辺りより
右の足左の方へ越え、左の鞍の前輪に取り付き止め口に至る。これにより
毛付下々に相定むるところ、総桟敷より総奉行の内
要直が御所屋へ入来し、右新宮祢宜の乗り手落馬と同
様の乗り形にて候間、入れ直しではあるまいかとの旨を
申し入れた。これにより所司代並びに後見の輩より答えに、乗り形甚だ
見苦しく、かつ鞭なども出でず候ゆえ下々の毛付に相定め
候、落馬なく候ゆえ入れ直しには及ばずとの旨申し入れ相済了

1. Shingū Negi rider Tsunenao, during the preliminary run, from around the cherry tree area after whip strike,
his right leg crossed over to the left side, grasped the front ring of the left saddle and reached the finish line. Due to this,
while it was determined as lower-lower grade hair attachment, from the main viewing stand, among the chief administrators,
Kanenao came to the official residence and stated that the aforementioned Shingū Negi's rider's riding form
was similar to a dismounting, so shouldn't this be a restart?
In response, the deputy administrator and supervisors replied that the riding form was extremely
unseemly and no whip was used, therefore it was determined as lower-lower grade hair attachment.
Since there was no dismounting, a restart was not necessary. This matter was concluded.
