現代語訳
初乗りは二人である。残る一人は年次第なので、氏衆に二人いる。そこで氏衆より老若へ理を通して、貴船の入用を氏衆中より出していただいた。それで事が済んだ。節句の朝から暮れまで雨が降った。翌日六日に洪水が出て、乗り手は貴船参詣を行った。

白石まで参ったが、そこより伏し拝み下向した。貴船の祝儀は当所の庁屋にて行われた。そこで同十七日に貴船参詣があった。祝儀の酒は初乗りより出る。飯は惣殿の振る舞いである。貴船役人共には初乗りより迷い下行があった。これは有来のことなので記しておく。

右競馬の次第は天文十一年から文禄四年まで、我等親秀顕が自筆である。文禄五年以来は刑部丞孝顕が記し置かれた。しかし予が書き続けて終わった。

奥氏叙深が懇望により禿亮の趣旨を書き写されたものである。他見があってはならない。

英語訳
There were two first-time riders. The remaining one person was determined by age order, so there were two people among the clan members. Therefore, reasoning was given from the clan members to the elder and younger members, and the expenses for Kibune were provided by the clan members. This settled the matter. It rained from morning until evening on the seasonal festival day. The next day, the 6th, there was a flood, and the riders made a pilgrimage to Kibune.

Although they went as far as Shiraishi, they performed prostrated worship from there and returned. The celebratory ceremony for Kibune was held at the local government building. Therefore, on the same 17th day, there was a Kibune pilgrimage. The sake for the celebration was provided by the first-time riders. The rice was provided by the main hall. For the Kibune officials, there were gifts from the first-time riders. Since this is a long-standing custom, it is recorded here.

The procedures for this horse racing from Tenbun 11th year to Bunroku 4th year were written in my own hand by Chikahide Akira. From Bunroku 5th year onward, Gyōbu-no-jō Takaaki recorded them. However, I continued writing and completed it.
