現代語訳

《割書:弘之重服朔日に明け五日に乗ること》【朱書】 十番右民部大輔弘之の母の重服が四月中にて朔日明け、五日に乗る。また右十番の馬は朔日には足が遅い。 《割書:五日禁裏御馬出て十番右に立ち勝つこと》【朱書】 五日には禁裏の御馬「大黒」という早馬が代わりに出て勝利した。 《割書:十番の馬替え無届で済んだこと》【朱書】 重村記によると、寛永六年五月五日の競馬会で、神主十番の馬が替わったが、神主からは何の案内もなかった。ところが氏人中が申すには「十番の馬が替わった」とのことであったが、「なぜ乗尻方へもその通り案内がないのか」と代官衆へ問うた。代官衆が申すには「馬所より代官衆へ案内があれば、その時代官衆より乗尻方へ案内申すはず」とのことであった。代官衆より馬所へ問いに参る例はないということで、代官衆は有無の構いもなく、また社務にも代官衆より問いに来なければ何事も申すべきでないということで、これも有無の沙汰もなく、馬を引いて神事は済んだ。 また乗尻衆が勝負過ぎて後、馬場にて挨拶のこと。 前例は神主への礼の心かと見えたが、この年より西へ回って御鉾の立砂の所を拝み、神主へは立ったまま目礼にて済ませた。 《割書:頓宮拝礼の後、神主は立ったまま目礼にて相済むこと》【朱書】 また神主より誦経を配られるところ、前例は印の神主を配らせていたが、この年より被官の百姓に配らせた。
