社司でありながらまた代官役を兼ね勤めている者もいる。
代官の乗り手の訴えにより馬場に入ることについて、鐙摺・巴両様の古布理の古法を当年再興し、満番に違わず評価された。まず決定事項として、
評していわく、古布理の儀については、上三番・下一番は六古布理目に出馬である。中六匹は三古布理目に出馬するとの趣旨で、首尾少しも相違なく神妙な義である。《割書：云々》当初乗り手の違法は種々あり、一つには庁座を替えられたことである。そのため特に右方の扇の色が精土器の装いとなり、それゆえに右方の負けを嘲笑された。特に左右の要骨の趣向が近年の様式を号し、また明日の川上参幣の首尾、巧みな昏時の体について、人々が言葉を発し、あるいは心で謗り、あるいは異見を述べた際、初めて乗り手が答えて「私は
毎年早々に下向して仕えているため、その式を知らないのである。そのためますます誂えを成すと言い、知らなければ問うべきである」と。
庸顕は軽服の穢れにより座席を再三辞退した。庸顕が答えて言うには「軽服であってもバン服でないとはいえ、座席での評定中の下知の是非を勤めるべきである」との由である。その時決使が言うには「違法でありながら乗るべきか否かについては幣使に任せるべきである。最終的に同心でなければ伝奏の御意を得るべきである」と。答えは「幣使に任せるべき由である」と。季芳が所司の時のため委細は別紙にあり記さない。
