所屋に畳を敷いて馳走申し上げた。その時大雨が降り、長鶴丸が沓を履いて参るのを見給い、役人かと尋ねられたところ、すぐに役人であると申した。年齢を御尋ねになると八歳であると申したところ、お示しになって言われるには「幼少であるにもかかわらず、その身で社家の役を勤めることは奇特である」とお褒めになった。
次に記すのは、五月七日に御装束を持参して庁屋において代官中へ

渡すのが古法である。もし甚だしく汚れていて間に合わない時は、その人が無沙汰で日延べすることもある。何日まで延引申したい旨を乗尻中へ内談して延期を申し入れることである。しかし当年は誰の料簡によるものか、無沙汰で延期されたことが、慣例というのか不用心というのか、また乗尻十九人中への慮外というのか、いずれにしても有るべからざる所存である。その時里老が
語って言うには「新装束で参る節にこのような雨天のため延日に決まって座を立てた後、時刻がまた催促に合って披露して曰く『このように結構な装束を各々小家に預け置くことは、しばらくも迷惑である。然る上は、間に合わない方は日延べすべきである。湿らせたくない者は旧例の如く今日上げ渡すべき』由である」。一座が合意して今日上げ終わった。
