先代未聞之社法破ト風聞シテ向後此両人并保光

穿鑿ト相定一所懸命只今ト氏人中心中相決定
被致埒之内馬出ニハ中老若衆大勢相詰又両

現代語訳
先代未聞の社法破りと風聞して、向後この両人並びに保光は氏人中の大敵となるべしとの嘲りである。末代のため粗記として氏縄の記がこれある。
五日、階下と神主の勝負の論は大事である。百四十人並びに若衆、曽て同心なく、急度穿鑿すべしと相定め、一所懸命只今と氏人中心中相決定し、埒の内馬出には中老若衆大勢相詰め、また両階下の辺にも若衆中二十人余宛相詰め、穿議に及ぶべしと申し定め、皆々相詰め申すなり。
然る処に神主着座より勝負の指引一言も申されず、皆階下の下知なり。

後見へは木工権助季通なり。無事に相済み珍重という。さて神主庁屋に着座を致し、両階下へ時宜これあり。神主階下三人共に先代の如く三方にて御料直会なり。別して神主階下に向かい種々挨拶を申され、盃取り通し大酒という。神妙々々、向後このように有りたき事と人々風説するなり。
この一段は季芳私記日次の旨書き加えるものなり。

This was rumored to be an unprecedented breaking of shrine law, and it was mocked that henceforth these two men and Yasumitsu would become great enemies within the clan members. There is a record by Ujinawa as a rough account for future generations.
On the 5th, the debate between the lower-ranking officials and the head priest over victory and defeat was a serious matter. The 140 people and young members had no unity at all, and it was decided that thorough investigation must be conducted. With desperate determination, the clan members made up their minds at that moment. In the horse exit area within the barriers, many middle-aged and young members gathered, and around both lower-ranking officials' areas as well, about twenty or more young members each gathered, deciding that discussion should take place, and everyone assembled.
However, from the head priest's seating, not a single word of guidance regarding victory and defeat was spoken - everything was under the direction of the lower-ranking officials.

The advisor was Mokugon-no-jō Suemichi. It concluded peacefully, which was precious. Then the head priest took his seat in the office building and exchanged greetings with both lower-ranking officials. The head priest and the three lower-ranking officials held a sacred feast with three ceremonial stands as in previous generations. Especially, the head priest addressed the lower-ranking officials with various greetings, and cups were passed around with much drinking. "Excellent, excellent, we want such occasions in the future" - this is what people are saying.
