《割書：刻限遅引により三遅巴にて番事》【朱書】
乱により三遅巴にて勝負を致すなり。さて神主当年も庁屋の座に着座され、御料直会なり。去年の如く例に任せ、神主両階下三人共に三方にて御料直礼これあり。今まではこの三方の事により神主は着座されず、不議という。去年より一社の吟味において立合評議決定相済み、着座を致し了んぬ。向後このようにあるべきなり。例として書き加え了んぬ。

《割書：定木にて落馬するとも早くして勝つ事》【朱書】
右八番の勝負、いかにも左は後却せず、定木の下比は往貫して少し早かりしを見違いしてか、負けの使が来る。いかがと存じ候を、是非なく負けとなすなり。横見人誰もこのようになり。
《割書：金津以後十九疋はことごとく経所の築地南の際にて留まる事、口伝の事となす》【朱書】
氏縄記に云う、金津以後十九馬はことごとく古の大杉を過ぎずして留まるなり。この大杉とは埒馳経所の築地南の際なり。瑞籬の程の儀なりという。口伝。

Due to the confusion, the competition was conducted with the "three delays" pattern. Then the head priest again this year took his seat in the office building for the sacred feast. Following last year's precedent, the head priest and both lower-ranking officials, three people together, held the sacred ceremony with three ceremonial stands. Until now, due to matters concerning the three stands, the head priest did not take his seat, which was considered improper. From last year, after deliberation and evaluation of the entire shrine was completed and decided upon in assembly, he began taking his seat. This shall continue in the future. This is added as a precedent.

Regarding the 8th match's outcome, the left rider certainly did not retreat, and appeared slightly faster when passing through under the marker post, but perhaps due to misjudgment, a messenger declaring defeat came. Though I wondered about this, it was unavoidably ruled a defeat. All the spectators felt the same way.

Ujinawa's record states that all nineteen horses after Kanazu stopped without passing the ancient great cedar. This great cedar refers to the area at the southern edge of the earthen wall at the racecourse passing place. This concerns the sacred fence area, according to oral tradition.
