答えである。今後心得ておくべき事なので季芳が言うには、次の旨を詳細に記すということである。
当年、所司代が交代して初めて稲葉丹後守殿の御馬が出走した。甚だしく早く、御田の傍で少し落ち去ったが、組み手であったという。
天和三年
左 内匠助孟平《割書：右は例の如く経所より下馬して負け退いた。左は稲葉丹後守殿の御馬で、公方様の御名代として出走した。孟平は末小土手で転倒したため落馬し、冠が崩れて使用できなくなったため、着立烏帽子を着用した。皆人は「前例にないことではないか」と嘲った》
