破却之様子等致一覧候誠以言語道断之始末
驚入候乍然此段彼宥置外之付届等無之穏
便二相済候儀偏頼存候則冠等致返進候旨也
氏僚返答云此儀既申達于初乗中并階下等
之許畢然上者以一分之料簡穏便ニ難指置之旨
及返答之間由顕退出畢
入夜如例年乗尻廿人各参籠于時自初乗中
氏僚被申達趣有披露依之各遂吟味之処尤
無相違之間然上者云為向後旁以穏便ニ難
指置之旨一決則以若狭守成貞左近大夫兼精
両人被申達件趣於会所木工助之僧許一社御参
会之節披露頼存之旨被申入畢 返答云
委細承届候来七日寄会之節可遂披露
候乍然猶自乗尻中以口状書被申入可然旨也
六日晴今日如例年乗尻中各参集于
田社之辺自夫参詣に木船社《割書：路頭之社ニ奉幣｜如例尤於梅宮社》
《割書：神酒肴備進｜各頂戴了》御酒肴備進奉幣畢而神酒
頂戴之次自惣市依例被出粽《割書：三方｜》於乗尻
中次参詣于奥御前神酒肴備進奉幣畢
而各有饗応如例《割書：為初乗中｜沙汰之》其後各下向帰

破却の様子等を一覧し、誠に言語道断の始末で
驚き入りました。しかしながら、この件については彼を宥め置き、他に付届等もないよう穏便
に済ませたいと偏に頼みとしております。よって烏帽子等をお返し申し上げます」とのことであった。
氏僚は返答して「この件については既に初乗中並びに階下等に
申し達してしまいました。そうである以上は、一分の料簡で穏便に済ませることは難しい」旨
返答したので、由顕は退出した。
夜に入り、例年の通り乗尻二十人が各々参籠したが、その時初乗中から
氏僚が申し達した趣旨について披露があった。これにより各々検討したところ、もっとも
相違ないということで、そうである以上は「今後のためにも穏便に済ませることは難しい」旨を
一決した。そこで若狭守成貞と左近大夫兼精の
両人によって、この趣旨を会所の木工助の僧の許に申し達し、一社御参
会の節に披露していただきたい旨を申し入れた。 返答は
「詳細を承りました。来る七日の寄会の節に披露いたし
ましょう。しかしながら、なお乗尻中から口状書をもって申し入れていただくのがよろしい」とのことであった。
六日 晴 今日は例年の通り乗尻中が各々参集して
田社の辺りから、そこから木船社に参詣した《割書：路頭の社に奉幣｜例の通りもっとも梅宮社において》
《割書：神酒肴を備え進め｜各々頂戴した》御酒肴を備え進めて奉幣を終えて神酒を
頂戴した後、惣市から例により粽《割書：三方｜》が乗尻
中に出された。次に奥御前に参詣して神酒肴を備え進めて奉幣を終え
て各々饗応があった。例の通り《割書：初乗中の｜沙汰として》その後各々下向して帰った

I examined the circumstances of the destruction and was truly
shocked by this utterly inexcusable conduct. However, regarding this matter, I hope to pacify him and settle it peacefully
without any other reports being made. Therefore, I am returning the court cap and other items." This was his statement.
Ujiryo replied: "This matter has already been reported to the first riders and those below the steps.
Since this is the case, it would be difficult to settle it quietly based on personal judgment," and
with this response, Yoshiaki withdrew.
As night fell, twenty horsemen (norijiri) participated in the vigil as in previous years, and at that time there was
an announcement from the first riders regarding what Ujiryo had reported. When each person deliberated on this, they found it entirely
reasonable, and therefore decided unanimously that "for the sake of the future as well, it would be difficult to settle this quietly."
Accordingly, through both Wakasa-no-kami Narisada and Sakon-dayū Kanekiyo,
they conveyed this decision to the monk Mokusuke at the meeting place, requesting that it be announced
at the next shrine assembly gathering. The response was:
"I have received the details. I will make the announcement
at the gathering on the coming seventh day. However, it would be better if the horsemen submit this through a written statement."
Sixth day, Clear weather. Today, as in previous years, the horsemen each assembled
near Tasha shrine, and from there made pilgrimage to Kifune shrine《marginal note: making offerings at the roadside shrines｜as usual, especially at Ume-no-miya shrine》

Sōichi presented rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves《marginal note: on three-legged trays｜》to the
horsemen according to custom. Next, they made pilgrimage to Oku-gozen, presented sacred sake and delicacies, completed the offerings,
and each received hospitality as usual《marginal note: arranged by｜the first riders》. After this, each departed and returned home.
