自乗尻中被指出于一社中添状
口上之覚
九番之競馬木工権助被勤候処二勝負有之
候ニ付馬主六兵衛様之悪口申其上散々打擲
仕候故木工権助より乗尻中江書付被出候此
義何茂沙汰限ニ存候得者以来ケ様之事
出来候而ハ御神事難勤候間此度何と歟
被仰付候様ニ願なり已上

及晩景自一社中 （御披露）為使沙汰人大膳権亮季之
来入于若狭守成貞許口状云先刻自乗尻中
被指出候口状書及披露之間則段々被遂
吟味之処六兵衛罪科依難遁色々評儀有之
既雖及追放之沙汰候此段者於一社之沙汰
耳茂就難被申渡候旁以被免一等彼者
刀祢職被召放候此段各承知可被成旨也
返答云承届候猶其趣可申達于乗尻中旨也
八日晴於溝所乗尻中有寄会一社返答之

乗尻中から一社中に指し出された添状
口上之覚
九番の競馬で木工権助が勤めておりましたところ、勝負があり
ましたため、馬主六兵衛様の悪口を申し、その上散々に打擲
いたしました故、木工権助より乗尻中へ書付が出されました。この
件は皆が沙汰の限りと存じますので、以後このような事が
起こっては御神事を勤めることが困難でございますので、この度何とか
仰せ付けられますよう願います。以上

夕方になって一社中から（御披露の）使者として沙汰人大膳権亮季之が
若狭守成貞の許に来入し、口状で「先刻乗尻中から
指し出された口状書が披露され、すぐに段々と
吟味されたところ、六兵衛の罪科は逃れ難いため色々と評議があり、
既に追放の沙汰に及びましたが、この件については一社での沙汰
だけでは申し渡すことが困難でございますので、一等を免じて彼の
刀祢職を召し放たれました。この件を各々承知すべし」ということでした。
返答は「承知いたしました。なおその趣を乗尻中に申し達します」ということでした。
八日晴れ。溝所において乗尻中が寄会を開き、一社の返答について

At the ninth horse race, while Moku-gon-suke was serving, there was a
competition, and because of this he spoke ill of horse owner Rokubei-sama and furthermore severely beat him.
Therefore, Moku-gon-suke submitted a written document to the horsemen. Regarding this
matter, everyone considers it extremely scandalous, so if such incidents
continue to occur, it will be difficult to conduct the sacred rituals. Therefore, we request that some
punishment be ordained this time. The above

Toward evening, from the entire shrine community, arbitrator Daizen-gon-no-suke Sueyuki came
as an envoy (for announcement) to Wakasa-no-kami Narisada's place and stated orally: "The written statement
submitted earlier by the horsemen has been disclosed, and immediately thorough
deliberation was conducted. Since Rokubei's crimes are undeniably grave, there was much debate,
and although it nearly reached the point of banishment, since this matter involves shrine arbitration
alone and would be difficult to pronounce, his punishment was reduced by one degree and he has
been stripped of his tōne position. Everyone should acknowledge this decision."
The response was: "We have received this. We will further convey this decision to the horsemen."
