《所司代忌中につき御馬を出されることに憚りがあるか否かお尋ねの事》【朱書】
一 同年四月下旬所司代松平紀伊守殿の奥方が
逝去された。忌中の間、御馬警固等を出すことに
憚りがあるか否か、社例を注進するよう仰せ下された。
一社の注進によれば、前日から潔斎のため別家に移されて
いるので、御馬警固を出すことに支障はないとのことである。これにより
社家の注進の趣旨に従い、例の通り実施された。その注進の文案等の詳
細は社中日記にあり、なお詳しく左に記録した。
《初乗清因が一日軽服になったため、清常が初乗の代理を務めた事》【朱書】
一 当年内匠允清因の初業であり、かねて代理が立てられていたところ、五月
一日に姉善子《氏具の母》が卒去した。よって所司大夫にこの旨を告げ、
夜座席の衆が参会した。かねて代理が立てられていたが、忌中
の人が乗ることは前例がないとのことで、これにより但馬守清常が

初乗を相勤めた。清因は明年初頭に務める予定である
とのこと。ただし参宮の祓が済んだ後であれば故障がある場合は先
例があり、支障なくそのまま乗ることができるとのこと。

《Matter of inquiry whether there would be taboo in presenting horses during the Shoshidai's mourning period》【Red ink】
One In late April of the same year, the wife of Shoshidai Matsudaira Kii-no-kami-dono
passed away. An inquiry was made whether there would be any taboo in
presenting horse guards and such during the mourning period, and orders were given to
report on shrine precedents. The shrine's report stated that since purification retreat had been
conducted at a separate residence from the previous day, there would be no problem in presenting horse guards. Accordingly,
following the shrine families' report, it was carried out as usual. The detailed
documents of that report are in the shrine community diary, and are recorded in detail below.
《Matter of Kiyotsune serving as substitute for senior horseman because senior horseman Kiyoyori was in light mourning for one day》【Red ink】
One This year was the first service for Takumi-no-jō Kiyoyori, and a substitute had been arranged, but on May
1st, his elder sister Yoshiko《mother of Ujitomo》passed away. Therefore, he reported this to the Shoshi-dayū,
and the evening assembly members gathered. Although a substitute had been arranged, it was said that there was no precedent
for a person in mourning to ride. Accordingly, Tajima-no-kami Kiyotsune
《Matter of Kiyoyori serving as senior horseman next year》【Red ink】
served as senior horseman. Kiyoyori is scheduled to serve at the beginning of next year,
it is said. However, if there are impediments after the purification for shrine visit is completed, there are
precedents, and he can ride as usual without problem.
