《割書：御所司忌中御馬出事｜》
宝永四年四月廿四日此日自御所司松平紀伊守許
家来藤岡文蔵来于当神主《割書：富野三位｜就久》亭云一
昨廿二日紀伊守内室卒去忌中也御息方五
旬暇然者競馬神事馬警固等之事如何先
例有之哉子細可令注進旨也即時有寄合
考先例同廿五日一社惣代神主冨野三位
就久雑掌岡本織部氏記両人参于御所司
昨日御尋之趣先例以口状書注進之

今度紀伊守様御服ニ付競馬御馬御警固御出
し被下候様子御尋被遊候前々も御人数御馬
警固之御衆潔斎被為仰付御出被下候間此
度も其通ニ奉願候近来貞享三寅年土屋
相模守様御服之時右之通ニ而御出し被遊候其
節も先例御尋被遊候ニ付稲葉丹後守様五
味備前守様御服中ニも潔斎ニ而御出し被成候
通申上候已上

《所司の忌中における御馬出しの事》
宝永四年四月二十四日、この日、御所司松平紀伊守の許から
家来の藤岡文蔵が当神主《富野三位 就久》の邸宅にやってきて言うには、
昨日二十二日に紀伊守の内室が卒去し、忌中である。御息方は五旬の暇である。
そうすると競馬神事や馬警固等のことはいかがであろうか。先例があるか、
子細を注進するようにとのことであった。即時に寄合があり、
先例を考慮して、同じく二十五日に一社総代神主富野三位
就久と雑掌岡本織部氏記の両人が御所司に参上し、
昨日お尋ねの趣旨について先例を口上書で注進した。
口上書
今度紀伊守様の御服につき、競馬の御馬御警固をお出し
くださる様子についてお尋ねになりました。前々からも御人数や御馬
警固の御衆に潔斎を仰せ付けられてお出しくださっていますので、
今度もその通りにお願い申し上げます。近来では貞享三年寅年に土屋
相模守様の御服の時も右の通りでお出しになりました。その
節も先例をお尋ねになったので、稲葉丹後守様や五味備前守様の
御服中にも潔斎でお出しになった通りを申し上げました。以上

《Matter of presenting horses during the Shoshi's mourning period》
On the 24th day of the 4th month of Hōei 4th year, on this day, from the residence of Goshoshi Matsudaira Kii-no-kami,
his retainer Fujioka Bunzō came to the residence of the current shrine priest《Tomino Sanni Narihisa》and said:
Yesterday, the 22nd, Kii-no-kami's wife passed away and he is in mourning. The young lord has fifty days of leave.
In that case, what should be done about the horse racing ritual and horse guards? Are there precedents?
Details should be reported. Immediately there was a meeting to
consider precedents. On the same 25th day, the head shrine priest representing all shrines, Tomino Sanni
Narihisa, and the shrine administrator Okamoto Oribenojō, both went to the Goshoshi and
reported precedents in a verbal statement regarding yesterday's inquiry.
Verbal Statement
Regarding this time's inquiry about the manner of presenting御馬 御警固 for horse racing
during Kii-no-kami-sama's mourning period: In the past as well, purification has been
ordered for the personnel and horse guard members before presenting them, so
we humbly request the same procedure this time. Recently, in Jōkyō 3rd year of the Tiger, during Tsuchiya
Sagami-no-kami-sama's mourning period, it was done in the same manner. At that
time as well, when precedents were inquired about, we reported that during Inaba Tango-no-kami-sama's and
Gomi Bizen-no-kami-sama's mourning periods, they were also presented after purification.
